Q: What age groups are offered?
A: Divisions are based on age as of September 1. We currently offer  6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 18U. 

Q: What is included in the cost of registration?
A: The program covers the cost of uniforms for the season (jersey, pants, belt, & socks) and program fees. 

Q: Do you offer scholarships or financial aid?
A: YES — no child should be denied the opportunity to play due to financial hardship. Please contact softball@pryaasports.com for scholarship details.

Q: How does the program run?
A: We are a community/volunteer ran organization. We encourage every player's family to volunteer to help keep our program strong and running smoothly. 

Q: How can I volunteer?
A: There are many ways to get involved — coaching, serving as a team parent, helping in concessions, or lending a hand on the field crew. Every role makes a difference, and we truly appreciate the time and energy you give to support our players and community!

Q: What days of the week are practices held?
A: Sundays, Wednesdays & alternating Fridays (Head Coach's choice) at Peachtree Ridge Park's Softball/Baseball Fields.

Q: How long are practices?
A: The younger teams (TB & PW) typically practice 1 hour, 2 times a week. The older teams (10U+) practice between 1.5-2 hours, 2 times a week. 

Q: How many games are scheduled? 
A: Fall season: Typically 10-12 games per team.
Spring Season: Typically 12-15 games per team.

Q: How many games are at home park?
A: Our goal every season is to schedule half of our games at Peachtree Ridge Park. Dedicated volunteers help make this possible! 

Q: What is the best way to communicate with and receive communication from our coaches & teammates?
A: We use SportsEngine as our official communication tool for team updates, schedules, and league announcements. Please download the app to stay connected.

Q: How can I make a donation?
A: PRYAA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Throughout the year, we run specific initiatives and can provide details on how your generous support directly benefits our community.

Q: What equipment does my player need? 

  1. Glove
  2. Bat – Must have ASA, USA, or USSSA markings with a 1.20 rating.
  • Cannot say "baseball" or be a baseball bat.
  • 6U & 8U players: Bat must be a one-piece aluminum model.
  1. Fielder’s Mask
  2. Batting Helmet with chin strap
  3. Molded Cleats – No metal cleats allowed on turf fields at any time. (JR/SR players may wear metal cleats on approved fields.)
  4. Bat/Softball Bag

Q: What happens in case of bad weather?
A: Weather updates and cancellations will be communicated via SPORTSENGINE. If applicable, make-up games will be scheduled as field availability allows.

Q: Does PRYAA Softball offer higher level competition? 
A: Yes! While our recreational program is the heart of PRYAA Softball, to meet the needs of our players we also offer opportunities for players seeking more competition.
Options include Rec-Select teams, All-Stars, and our new community-centric travel team. Each pathway builds on the foundation of our rec program while giving athletes the chance to grow their skills and compete at higher levels.
